Airports Authority of India modernising its air traffic services

One of India's prominent magazines, Frontline, reports that India’s civil aviation sector is booming with more than 20 per cent growth in the number of air passengers each year. To support and sustain this growth, the Government is improving air traffic services and is proposing to invest $9 billion by 2010 as part of its aviation infrastructure modernisation plan.

Increased punctuality despite increase in traffic for skyguide

In the first six months of 2008 skyguide controlled 620 406 flights. Despite a growth in traffic of + 3.7% over the same period last year, skyguide reduced the number of delayed flights significantly. Overall, 97% of all flights handled by skyguide were punctual.
